Amy Taborn-Farrar, D.D.S.
Dr. Amy Taborn-Farrar grew up in Durham, North Carolina. Even as a child she was fascinated by the sights and sounds of the dental office. She saw how a caring dentist could change someone's life, especially members of her family who were in pain from oral related problems. Dr. Farrar knew she had to help in the same way.
Dr. Farrar attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After working as a Dental Hygienist for nine years, she returned to The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Farrar worked in private practice, but felt compelled to give service to an underserved population. She worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center where she was a Staff Dentist in Henderson, North Carolina, and Dental Director overseeing a dental department consisting of three offices. She is a member of the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, and the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Farrar exceeds the number of required continuing education credits in order to stay abreast of the latest trends and technology in dentistry.
Dr. Farrar delights in spending time with her husband, Jonathan, and daughter, Jenna. She has returned to Durham to deliver the best care to patients from all walks of life, because she knows that a healthy mouth is directly linked to having a healthy mind and body.
